About Keith

Keith British is a professional musician who was graduated in Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts in Music Perfomring as a professional Guzheng Performer and Tutor. He travels around the world and collects all the beautiful antique and vintage furnitures. Keith British loves to share things with others included his unique life style . 

   Lee Kwun Chap (KeithBritish) is a famous young professional Guzheng performer . Lee is a graduate of Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, where he became a professional Guzheng musician. In his early studies, Lee came under the influence of the greatest Guzheng masters Zhu Xingru and Yan Jiaying. Lee was admitted to The China Music Conservatory and obtained his Performing Level Certificate. In 2002, he won the second prize in the National Century Star Guzheng Competition. In 2003, Lee continued his study in the Chinese Music Department of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. There he study Guqin art with Zhang Qingchong. As a protégé of Professor Xu Lingzi, Lee won the HSBC scholarship to Beijing Central Conservatory of Music. He then furthered his study with Professor Zhou Wang . During his intensive study, Lee was instructed by Qinzheng Masters Zhou Yanjia ,Yao Ningxing , and Qiu Ji . During his early career, Lee performed with the HKAPA Chinese Music Orchestra and Guzheng Group. Lee actively engaged in domestic and international music performance exchanges. He collaborated and performed with various orchestras and groups of Guzheng zither performer. Lee toured extensively across Asia, including but not limited to, Taiwan, Osaka, Tokyo, and China to participate in solo, ensemble and accompaniment. Lee made his appearance in over a hundred performances. Armed with strong techniques and a free musical spirit, Lee performed both traditional and modern Guzheng compositions with full mastery and grace. Lee made a premier performance of the demanding piece "Under The White Wind and Storm" by Japanese composer Minoru Miki in Hong Kong. In 2006, Lee was invited as a Qinzheng soloist to perform the new Chinese dance composition "Zheng" . In 2007 , during his solo recital, Lee premiered the traditional piece "Flowers Under the Rain" and was received with huge success. In his teaching career, Lee's students have gone on to win important competitions including Hong Kong Schools Music Festival, International Music Competition and Guzheng Contests. Recently, Lee was invited to act as an adjudicator for prestigious international and national zither competitions including the Ninth International Youth Arts Festival folk music, Tenth International Youth Arts Festival, Second Star International Guzheng competitions and Da Feng Cup national competition.

 李冠集簡介：

李冠集---著名青年古箏專業演奏家，畢業於香港演藝學院中樂系古箏專業， 自幼

師從 中國國內著名古箏演奏家朱杏茹，閻嘉穎，在學期間，學習 古箏一年已考獲

多間音樂學院如中國音樂學院之演奏級證書，並於 2

古箏大賽】獲二等獎。 

其後考入香港演藝學院中樂系， 師從著名國家一級演奏家許菱子教授學習古箏專業，

並師從著名古琴家張敬崇副修古琴藝術。 

在校期間，獲匯豐獎學金前往北京中央音樂學院跟隨周望教授學習， 並為演藝

中樂團及箏團之演奏員。

在多年學習中，曾得到秦箏大師周延甲，客家箏大師饒寧新，中國音樂學院教授邱霽，上海音樂學院羅晶等著名古箏大師及演奏家之指導。

多年來李氏活躍於海內外之演奏與交流，先后任多 個樂團及箏團之古箏演奏員，

參與獨奏，重奏，伴奏等演出過百場。 李氏掌握了五大傳統古箏流派及現代高難度曲目，

演奏技術全面，快 速指序，雙手輪指，彈輪，彈搖等現代高難度技巧都運用自如，

情感細膩，風格灑脫。 

李氏曾在香港以中國箏首演日本著名作曲家三木稔之高難度作品 【白色風的下面】，

【雨瀟瀟】， 並首創【琴碼敲板】之現代演奏 技巧。 於2006年更為中國舞新作品

【箏爭】擔任首演獨奏與伴奏， 於2007年舉辦人古箏獨奏演奏會，並首演傳統

改編作品【夜雨海棠】，2010年獲邀出席【李冠集與星藝師生演奏會】。

李氏任教於多間學校，琴行及私人機構，其學生更多次於全港校際 ， 國際音樂大賽

及古箏大賽奪冠，亞，季軍。

獲邀任多個國際及全國古箏大賽評委，如第九屆國際青少年藝術盛典比賽民樂評委， 

第十屆國際青少年藝術盛典總決賽評委。第二屆古箏之星國際古箏及大風杯古箏大賽大賽評委。
